Volunteers have been a huge asset to MAYOO since its foundation. Through organizations like work.away we have been able to host volunteers from all around the world. These people have been able to help in various projects of our youth empowerment and community development work. From teaching in local schools, helping to rescue girls from female genital mutilation, and assisting MAYOO in its greater goals, volunteers can make a huge difference here!
Volunteers stay with Jonathan in his home where they can have an authentic Maasai living experience and are welcome to stay for as long as they like. We ask that that they contribute a hosting fee of $5 a day to cover the costs of food, lodging and any other expenses. If you are interested in helping MAYOO while also participating in a great cultural experience please visit our workaway page here or email us at maasaiyouth@yahoo.com.
